Differences, 2004

Crossley and Scott Gallery, Melbourne, Australia

Postscript:

Through a range of stylistically conflicting paintings, Differences presented individual works that were created to express the heterogeneity of everyday life. Each of the works were intended to galvanize through incongruences, along with disconnected and fleeting awareness’s. Working through the premise of never really comprehending, Differences explored the idea of moving increasingly quickly within, and through, unexpected concurrences formed through temporary moments, or states of being.

Photographs, the artist.

I acknowledge and pay respect to custodians – past, present and emerging – on the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung Lands of the Peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation, where I live and conduct this practice. I extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising that sovereignty was never ceded.
